New York Times and BBC lead the pack for Webby nominations – guardian.co.uk
"The New York Times and the BBC have landed 24 nominations between them for the 2010 Webby awards.
Guardian News & Media has been nominated in three categories, including best news site and best practice.
Other news organisations to figure prominently in this year's Webby shortlists include the New York Times (15 nominations), the BBC (nine) and NPR (five).

The award for best newspaper website, which GNM has won four times, has been dropped this year, but guardian.co.uk – the GNM website network that includes MediaGuardian.co.uk – has been nominated for best news site alongside four others.
Guardan.co.uk faces competition in this category from BBC News, Salon.com, NPR (National Public Radio) and the New York Times.
