The speakers at the Reporting War: Exploring the Way Forward symposium include reseachers from the universities of Nottingham, Liverpool, Westminster, Cardiff, West of England, De Montfort, Indian Institute of Mass Communication and Fluminense Federal (Brazil). Organised by the Centre for Journalism and Communication Research, this one-day symposium will bring together academics, researchers, journalists and bloggers to debate on improving conflict reportage.

• What can the analysis of the reporting of past conflicts tell us about future ones?
• What role should ‘peace journalism’ have in the future media landscape?
• In what ways does the training of journalists need to change?
• How are citizen journalists challenging traditional practices of war reporting?
